I just returned from spring Quilt Market in Portland, OR and I’m happy to report the industry is going strong. It was a great weekend spent with other shop owners and professionals in the quilt world, sharing ideas and purchasing all the new fabrics, books, patterns and latest notions.
Have you been wanting to learn how to make a quilt? Let us get you started! The Quilted Moose is offering another session of our “Beginner’s” quilt class with our infamous instructor, Cindy Koehlmoos.
Class will be held from 9A-12N on the following Saturday dates: June 2, June 16, June 23, June 30 and July 7. (Skip June 9)
During class you will learn the basic techniques for making a ‘sampler’ quilt of blocks. You will learn the quilting ‘lingo’, how to piece and appliqué basic blocks, add sashing and borders to your blocks, and ‘stitch in the ditch’ to quilt your sampler. It is always fun and you will have a completed sampler quilt by the end.
Pictured is Holly’s quilt top from a recent beginner’s class. What an adorable little sampler quilt this is!
Cost for the 5 week 3 hour sessions of classes is $50.00. Give us a call to reserve your spot and pick up your supply list. 402.332.4178
