Betsy Knows Best

Betsy ChutchianThis week, we’ve been making some very important phone calls to Texas. Specifically, we’ve been chatting with Betsy Chutchian of  Gone to Texas and Lizzie’s Legacy fame. Betsy’s specialty is reproduction quilts, but she also loves Halloween. A lot. Her house is the house on the block with the bats in the trees and the cat dressed in the costume, but we digress…Now she’s joining her two loves with a new Halloween and autumn quilt book called Just Treats, No Tricks, which is due out in September. And because we love Halloween, and Betsy, we’re going to have her up here for a book signing and to teach a couple of workshops to celebrate!

The trunk show and book signing will be Thursday September 4th at 6:30 pm at Minglewood Lodge and will be $5.

Both workshops are all day workshops from 9:30 am – 4:00 pm, and include lunch at Minglewood Lodge. The cost for each workshop is $65. Kits will be available.

The first workshop on Friday September 5th will be for a small pineapple quilt called Licorice Whip. The second workshop will take place Saturday September 6th to do a small black and gold quilt called Twilight Comes to the Garden. Click on the pictures below to see the bigger picture of those quilts.

Give us a call at 402-332-4178, and we’ll get you signed up!
