Fall’s Coming (even if it doesn’t feel like it right now…)

Hi Friends!

Fall’s here!! Well… not really… at least it doesn’t feel like it, but Pumpkin Spice Lattes are here and so are fall fabrics…it’s the same thing right?

I’m not going to lie, fall is my very favorite time of the year! Cooler weather, hoodies and sweaters, football, warm soup and falling leaves (that my dear husband rakes up, not me thankfully! lol) So when I start seeing pumpkin strewn quilts, and gorgeous yellow, brown and orange wool appliqué designs filling up my Instagram feed I’m a happy camper!

Right now the Moose is filled with much of the same! We’re busily sewing and finalizing designs and kits for our Fall Mooseketeer Event this October 5th and 7th ( a few spots are still open so contact us ASAP if you’d like to join us!) and we are knuckles deep into fall – so without further ado I thought I’d share a few of the cute projects and designs that we have in the shop right now…

This little Pumpkin Season kit includes all the fabric for the top and binding as well as the pattern and we can barely keep it in stock! It’s a quick and easy little quilt perfect for a tabletop or wall hanging! These GORGEOUS little “charm packs” of wool from Primitive Gatherings are new to the Moose and we couldn’t be happier! They offer an assortment of 10 different 5″ square pieces of felted wool in patterns and shades of numerous color families – perfect for your fall wool appliqué designs! (pssst…. we might have them in Christmas colors too if you look close enough 😉Are you looking for a stunning Halloween quilt to work on this year? Look no further, this kit is in very limited supply and includes the pattern (over 50 pages) as well as the ORIGINAL fabrics shown in the photo below. Filled with incredibly sweet little blocks that have amazing details and a border of adorable prairie points, this is a must have (I’m thinking of getting one myself, so you might want to stop in before I snap one of them up! lol).

The pattern for these wonderful fall and halloween table toppers also easily makes Christmas tree skirts when you use Christmas fabric and add a split in one side! Wonderful pattern to use again and again! Here at the Quilted Moose we pride ourselves on the fact that you can find whatever you’re looking for from Modern designs to traditional and everything in between – a great example of that are the two quilts below – “Mini Pumpkins” uses a grey crossweave background, modern low volume neutrals and sweet contemporary oranges to create this adorable little quilt and our “Canned Pears” kit uses curated sweet fall colored fabrics to create this softer looking mini quilt. Both kits are in stock and ready for you to create yourself!Midnight Silhouette is one of the most commented on quilts in the shop… it’s stunning, traiditional and the perfect size for a wall display.  And only with the purchase of the pattern from the Moose will you receive the directions for not only the full sized quilt by the oh, so, talented Blackbird Designs ladies, but also this adorable half-scaled version!Stuffed pumpkins are ALL the rage right now (just take a look at any Pottery Barn catalog) but dang! They’re pricey! It’s too easy to make your own… with just a bit of fabric and our “Twisted Pumpkins” pattern you can make your own! Stop in and we can help if you have any questions… or who knows? Maybe I’ll do a quick tutorial on a future blog post!

Stop in to check out our wonderful selection of wool, as well as halloween and autumn fabric, books and patterns!

Have a great weekend friends!
