‘From Louise’s Garden’ Sew Along Block #6

Dear Friends,

Mr Moose and I love to entertain. Last week we entertained the neighborhood rabbits to a fine dinner of tender young seedlings that had emerged from the toil of Mr Moose’s labors this spring. Off to the farm supply store to buy fencing before replanting!

Next, we entertained the raccoons around the bird feeders full of peanuts. After two nights of the feeders ending up on the ground, empty of peanuts…we figured we had something more than a strong wind happening. Mr. Moose thought he would out smart those pesky rascals. He attached each bird feeder to a piece of chain with a hinged closer; instead of the S hook that the raccoons easily batted the feeder off of.  I sure hope the raccoons are loving the smell of those peanuts while playing tether ball with the bird feeders! No more feeders on the ground.

If you drive by our acreage after dark; that’s Mr Moose sitting quietly in his chair on the porch.  Just waiting and watching.  No more entertaining the neighborhood critters.

Have you noticed that the Moda fabric designers are now adding quotes to the selvages of their fabric?  As I was cutting a piece of fabric for a customer today I noticed this:  ‘Bramblewood 1870-1890 by Betsy Chutchian for Moda  modafabrics.com 100% cotton #31523 Briar “The most wasted of days, is one without laughter.” – e. e. cummings’   Do you think this was meant for me?From Louise's Garden Block 6

Laugh each day on your journey.

Happy Stitching,

Debbie
