Dear Friends,
Month 3 of the Delilah Block/Template of the Month is available for your sewing pleasure. You will be making two blocks again this month and the construction is much easier … NO CURVES!
I am still adding additional seam allowance fabric to any straight line seam as I am cutting out the pieces with the templates. The photo below shows how I ‘roughly’ cut the fabric around the template with my 28mm rotary cutter.

I also mark the registration points and draw the stitch lines on the wrong side of each piece of fabric (this is shown as a solid line in photo). Then I match the registration points and seam lines with pins before machine piecing the two pieces of fabric together. I am much happier with the end result and find that I have enough fabric seam allowance to square up each block. (The dotted line in the photo is the cut line for the 1/4″ seam allowance.)

We are still receiving comments as to “What do I do with the extra fabric in each month’s fabric kit?” SAVE IT! The excess fabric will be used in the construction of future blocks. Do you have a piece of fabric in your stash that would look terrific in one of the Delilah blocks? USE IT! “Moose It UP” give this quilt your personal touch.

‘Til next week, make each day a pieceful day.
Best regards,
Carolyn
