I turn the big 6-0 on Thursday. I haven’t yet decided if I am embracing this birthday. But it’s only a number, right?!
With the announcement of this big milestone, the Moosettes and I have decided that we are going to celebrate with 6 weeks of in-store, only, events for you! We have planned specials on notions and other various inventory items, and we will be introducing new kits we think you will enjoy.
We will kick off one of the notion specials on my birthday, November 2. Beginning Thursday, all rotary cutters will be on sale at a 50% discount. You will need to print off the coupon, below, and bring it in to the Moose to take advantage of this special. This is an in-store special only and quantities are limited.
We have two new quilts with kits to introduce this week, too. The first kit is ‘Christmas Rose’ from the book Christmas Gatherings by Primitive Gatherings. Suzanne adapted the 4 block quilt pattern to a one block quilt and used her invisible machine appliqué technique to construct this small beauty. This 36″x36″ quilt would make an adorable table topper for the Christmas season. You will need to purchase the Christmas Gatherings book for the pattern.
Our second quilt is designed by Edyta Sitar, of Laundry Basket Quilts fame, and is featured in the current Quiltmania magazine, No. 121, on page 97. Our quilt sample for ‘Pumpkins’ was made using raw edge appliqué per Edyta’s instructions in the magazine. You could easily adapt your pattern pieces for hand or invisible machine appliqué, too. We had fun selecting all the numerous Laundry Basket Quilt fabrics for the scrappy effect of this quilt pattern. This quilt finishes 47 1/2″ x 57″ and could be used as a wall hanging, or throw it over the back of a chair before your Thanksgiving guests arrive. You will need to purchase Quiltmania magazine, No. 121 for the pattern.
Everyone loves a birthday party. Come in and enjoy the fun!
