We are excited to announce that Jen Kingwell from Australia is coming to teach at the Moose!
Jen has been designing quirky-cool quilts for a while, but her scope of projects has really exploded in the past year. She’s one of Moda’s new fabric designers, and her first line Gardenvale should be arriving shortly at the Moose. She has a new book out, which we also love and have on hand for you.
Since she’s coming to Quilt Market in May, we’ve been able to snag her the week after to teach a fantastic two day workshop on her Bring Me Flowers pattern.
The workshop will focus on hand-piecing techniques. You’ll learn needle-turn appliqué, fussy cutting to make fun secondary patterns, and a little bit of hand-quilting. And if you try it out and decide that your machine is still your best friend, don’t worry; the skills are easily transferable to machine methods. The workshop will be Thursday May 21 and Friday May 22, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. Lunch will be included both days. The workshop will be $140 and the Bring Me Flowers pattern will be 20% off for those who participate in the workshop. Jen also requested a smaller class size, so call 402-332-4178 soon to get your spot!
