“A birdie with a yellow bill. Hopped upon the window sill. Cocked his shining eye and said: “Ain’t you ‘shamed, you sleepy-head!” I was reminded of this poem when I saw this week’s house block.
I remember spending a week during each summer at my grandparents farm. Grandpa always woke me up ‘chanting’ the above poem. I’d pull the sheet over my head hoping for several more minutes of shut eye. Nope! Grandpa had the day planned for me.
We are having fun at the Quilted Moose making suggestions to our team members on how they can ‘Moose It Up’ for their fabric choices for each block. This is a chance to move from your comfort zone of fabric choices and pick large and bold prints.. Since the pieces used within the finished block are large, try ‘building’ with a larger print than what you normally pick. The results may surprise you.
“Won’t you be my neighbor?”
