Moda Sampler Block Shuffle

The Quilted Moose is excited to announce that we are participating in the Moda Sampler Block Shuffle BOW.  What is a BOW?  It’s a “Block of the Week”.  It’s like a BOM; but runs over a shorter time period.  We will have a new set of patterns available for downloading weekly now through the beginning of January, 2016.

On our blog every week, we will have available to download two to three 6″ sampler block patterns. Each set of blocks will be available on our blog for only two weeks, with only two sets of patterns being available at a time.  Also available are the instructions for the flying geese inner border and the technique for easy triangles. You will be responsible for downloading and either saving the patterns to your computer files or printing out the patterns.

We will have the new patterns available every Saturday morning by 11am.

The basic fabric requirements are either 2 jelly rolls or 2 layer cakes of your favorite line or use your scraps to “Moose It Up!”.   You will need additional fabric requirements for the finish setting. We will be providing the suggested Sampler Block Shuffle Finishing Instructions.

It is a busy time of the year to introduce a BOW but it’s fun and inspirational to spend a few minutes thinking about a new project and maybe sitting down at your sewing machine and putting together a sampler block.   Use this project to ‘step out of your comfort zone’ of colors.  Try a new technique.  Or add to your ‘wishlist’ a new tool that you may want to try after the busy holidays are over.

All quilters are ‘collectors’.   Even if you don’t have time to make the Moda Sampler Block Shuffle BOW quilt right away be sure to ‘collect’ the free weekly patterns.

Come Shuffle with Us,

Debbie
