Moose Chips

We love a good exchange at the Moose, so we’ve dreamed up another one, and it just so happens to go along with the American Patchwork and Quilting Quilt Along for 2015! The title of the quilt along is Go Four it!, and you can read all about it on Moda Lissa’s blog here. This year, APQ is focusing on four-patches and the April 2015 issue of the magazine has multiple designs for how to set them. To make it Moose-style, we’re going to scrap it up with a four-patch exchange through our Moose Chips.

A Moose Chip is a little packet of two contrasting strips. You sew the strips together to make four-patches and each chip makes 10 four-patches. We keep track of how many you purchase and how many you return to the Moose. The deadline for bringing them back in is May 16th. This gives us just enough time to get them sorted and ready to hand back to you on Saturday June 6th, 2015.  Edyta of Laundry Basket Quilts will be at the Moose for a day of trunk shows! Edyta will have between 50-60 quilts, new designs made by her, as well as antique quilts from her collection, all featuring four-patches. The trunk shows will only be open to our customers that participate in the Moose Chip exchange, and we aren’t taking sign-ups yet. Consider this your save the date!
